Our Story

Be The Change You Want To See In The World!

From The Beginning

In 2008 both Kris and Angela where faced with both being laid off and decided to pay up all their bills and take what little money they had left camping across America with their two boys.  They spent 27 days camping and visiting National Parks across the US.  They left the worries behind as they knew they would still be there when they returned and discovered their passion for the plant, travel and the love of their family.

In 2016 they opened the doors to Roam Free, a brand with a cause.  Apparel allows you to show the world who you are without saying a word.  Each shirt is designed with the purpose of sharing a passion, mission or idea with the world that we can all be passionate about while also giving back to our beautiful plant.  With each purchase Roam Free plants a tree with the National Forest Foundation, and if you purchase a National Parks tshirt, a donation is made to the National Parks Foundation.

A New Experience of Flavor

Coffee tastes have changed so much that I remember around 2012, introducing a much more acidic coffee into our blend thinking we were going to lead customers into a new experience of flavour, only to be dismayed on day one with customer’s dissatisfaction with a fruitier and more flavourful coffee. Coffee is after all the seed of a fruit. From then on, we began to work at a gradual pace, turning up the brightness a little, season after season. Today we can proudly craft a coffee with notes of lemon meringue, strawberry or passionfruit and find people on all sides of the counter are learning and developing their pallets.

National Parks

Our love for our National Parks have inspired our designs and products.  We plan trips to National Parks every year and reconnect with the earth, learn and explore.  There is a whole different world out there, get out and explore.
